Chipping Campden v Wellesbourne Cricket Club CHL Saturday 2nd XI on Sat 02 May 2015 at 1.30pm
Wellesbourne Cricket Club Lost by 87 runs

Match report Wellesbourne 2nd XI experienced a disappointing start to their 2015 league campaign with a loss to relegated Chipping Campden. After winning the toss and electing to field Wellesbourne were soon amongst the wickets as Campden slumped to 46-3 in the 9th over. Unfortunately this early success was not maintained as the aggressive Groves and rather fortunate Moore (Junior) punished the Wellesbourne bowling. Skipper Jarrett rotated his bowlers seeking a break through that unfortunately never materialised. Groves was eventually caught by Green off the bowling of Spence for 115 and Moore (Junior) departed bowled by Green for 47. Moore (Senior) struck a quick-fire 50 as the Wellesbourne bowlers struggled to maintain a consistent line and length. Spence (3-48) and Green (2-53) were the pick of the Wellesbourne bowling as CC reached 291 for 7 off their allotted 45 overs. In reply Wellesbourne started brightly with Dann continuing his fine pre-season form with 60 before being LBW to Moore (Junior). Green (24), Dutton (21) and Spence (18) all made useful contributions as Wellesbourne ended on 204 all out of 42.3 overs.
