Match report Wellesbourne Seconds continued their excellent run of form with a comprehensive 178 run victory away against third placed Leek Wootton on Saturday. Asked to bat by Wootton skipper Couchman, Wellesbourne openers Hodge and Spence raced to 96 before Hodge was caught for a well played 33. Johnny Spence continued his fine form with an excellent 92 and Dann promoted up the order hit a well played 45. Contributions from Mole (19), Dutton (18) and Smith (21) saw Wellesbourne post a commanding 267 for 9 off their 45 overs. In reply Leek Wootton collapsed to 89 all out in the face of hostile pace bowling from Cherry and Hodge and accurate swing of Griffin. Griffin finished with the excellent figures of 4 for 24 off 10 whilst Hodge (2-27) and Cherry (3-20) continued to underpin their teams march up the table. Wellesbourne welcome Badsey to Loxley road on Saturday.
